Descendants-Mageza Style

Yesterday,24th March,I attended a 50th birthday party of one of the Mohamed siblings,Sureya Holt.These Mohameds are descendants of the Magezas through the marriage of one of our cousins/aunts Baby Mageza(Mathye) to a man of Asian descnt,Mohamed. The party was hosted by Suraya's sibling,Nisha at her house in Hurlingham Manor,Sandton. The Family Mohamed,practises Islaam as a religion.

FUNERAL AT MASHAMBA JANUARY 2012

We set off for the funeral of Amos Mageza in Mashamba at 7h45 from Tzaneen.It was NKateko,PIet Marivate and I.Mashamba is a place in today's Limpopo Province.My grand father,Amos Mageza,bought a farm there in 1923.In 1963,he died intestate.As all his children had left for better opportunities in the big cities,except for his eldest son Frederick with his Family,the farm remained neglected.In 2007,my brother,Nkateko bought it to keep it within the

LEST WE FORGET

I wrote a short resume about my father,Christoff Kelly Mageza. What motivated me to do so was to stave off a challenge to my intentions to name my grand son after him. I felt very strongly about it that I thought I should make my challengers aware who really my father was to me and how much I loved and honoured him. This has now prompted me to start a LEST WE FORGET campaign to have family members to write about their parents and other members of the family whose lives they think we need to know about. This will invoke for us as a family some role models of all kinds whose lives we can emulate and not be afraid to stand up and defend our turf when challenged about our being and our heritage.
